Default Brakes Squeeking at 12k miles???

I now have 12k miles on my 2007 A3...

Should the brakes really be squeeking this early in the game??

How often do you guys change the pads??

16,000 miles on mine. Brakes squeeking also.

Started at 10,000 miles actually.

Very annoying but not as bad as my other issue and the reason my A3 has been at the dealer for 1 week.

I have to say, I am turning into a very sour first time Audi buyer.

Mine started slightly squeeking at about 17k. At almost 20k now and it hasn't gotten any worse.

your dealer might replace them i think the warranty on the 07's goes to 12,000 miles on the pads. It wont hurt to call

I'm just around 6500miles. Started squeek few weeks ago, it's just annoying. I went to dealership and they checked the brakes and said it's nothing wrong. It's my first Audi but it could be the last, just too many problems, poor mileage, noisy brake....etc

33k miles and not a squeek. They are too soft for my liking, but no noise.

Cheers!

I feel your pain man, they are amazing and very fun cars to drive. Sometimes I think I am being to picky. With issue's like my open-sky rattling, brake squeeking, adding oil every couple thousand miles, leather seat ripping, and the latest fuel sensor issue. I'm trying to be optimisic here, because I love my A3, but I have a feeling this car is going to be costing me lots of money once my warranty expires.
