how does it run? sound any different when driving? So Richard has EvoMS, You have K&N,

Anyone have Neuspeed?

maybe i should get the Carbonio so we can ALL compare our results, and if anything, i'll return it if performance isn't that great. hee hee. so can you put back the engine cover? or do you have to get a whole new cover?

The sound is a LOT different. Still perfectly quiet at idle but you can hear the air being sucked in, especially with the windows down. And now, the stock DV sounds like Jeff's car. If your turbo is spooled up and you're on the throttle hard and release, you get the big Psssssst. Sounds so cool and this morning with the cold air and on the 93 octane program, the car just pulled and pulled and pulled. I kept finding myself doing 100-120 down the freeway with this on my face:

Can't wait for the GReddy exhaust notes to go with it!!!

IMO, definitely avoid the carbonio intake, only if for the sake of restrictive air flow. The principle of keeping the air cool and insulated to the turbo is awesome, but not at the cost of the restriction. Get the most, and coolest air possible to the turbo and let the intercooler help with the rest. Not worth the money.

Also, the tech said if sales go well in the US that they would manufacture engine covers and such to match the intake. It was already the plan for the Euro models.

Cheers!

I'm the first, so you'll need to wait a month or so for the production units. I'm the first fitting for the 2.0T engine, they still need to fit the GTI & GLI. They plan on the unveiling at a car show in a month. Not supposed to post pictures or talk about the performance gains yet. OPPS![:-]
