I have 2.0L model and recently had my timing belt changed. I also changed out my front brakes. I have noticed after a week of driving that I hear some knocking noises at certain speeds. I haven't really notice if it happens over certain RPMs. There's this rattle noise when I'm not applying an acceleration or braking. It's very prominent when i am slowing down without the assistance of the brake and the speed drops from 30-40 mph. When I apply the brake hard to slow down, i don't hear this rattle noise.
I tried applying the acceleration when my vehicle is in Neutral and with the parking brake. I don't notice this sound at high RPMs. only when i don't have my foot on either brake or acceleration I notice this sound.
Does this seem like a timing belt issue? I had this done at another state and i even brought it in the next day to make sure there was nothing wrong but when the repairman took it for a test drive, i couldn't hear the sound then.
It's just really noticeable now especially when i'm driving through hills.
