Except, I have the prototype so mine is chrome finished. Other wise, it's the same.

cool, i remebering you mentioning it and you love it...

Any probhlems with dirty filters? I hear K&N require quite a bit of cleaning...

otherwise, you seeing the 18hp gains they mention?

do you have any pics of this installed. im considering a CAI but not sure on which one. course... i guess you have to actually HAVE an a3 to consider things, lol

There was a big power gain, and I'm sure that there quote of power increase is directly from the dyno of my car. So, I guess, under there tuning of the fuel and such, there was an 18hp gain. I haven't had any problems at all with the filter and I have only cleaned it once. That was after my car sat in the body shop for 6 weeks and the engine compartment was filled with gunk.

I dont think cai gives you 18 hp.

With exhaust, and cai you might get 6-8 hp, 18 is a little steep. (marketing ploy)

now did you keep the engine cover off for pic purposes or will it not fit with the cai on?

lather? with what? i just don't wanna f*ck anything up, and should i let it drive before installing it back in?
