Cloth Seats?? Opinions please...
That's really not that good a deal. As yankees25 put it, that's pretty well a used car - mileage or not. 'Sides you want leather and you want to be able to keep the car for a while. Don't settle. I currently have an 8 year old and a 6 year old - and leather is great. Prior to our current vehicles - we had cloth in the old truck and cleaning that cloth was pathetic - plus it holds odors well. Leather - with the proper occasional conditioning is so easy to clean. Just my 1.4 cents (after MD taxes).
Buy the car you want. That said, the fabric seats are fine. I bought mine in Oct. 2005 that's about 3 years of use with none of the bad experiences you have been warned about. I have had many cars with leather seats, I prefer the cloth, its not as "high end" in appearance but far more comfortable in climate extremes. In south Florida leather is very hot to sit on when you get in. And when I lived up north, the leather was very cold to sit on. Both require care to maintain in good condition.
If you have kids, get the leather. I have cloth and drag my kids to school, daycare, etc. They are with me in the car for about 75 miles a day. They eat breakfast and snacks and just destroy the back seat. I have scrubbed and shampooed the back seat numerous times. If the seats were leather it would be much easier and look nicer. My wife's Subaru has leather seats and is much easier to clean.
Now, I personally don't like the way leather feels while driving such long distances. I tend to sweat more in the summer which makes me uncomfortable. The winter isn't as bad because of seat warmers.
Good luck!

All,
Thank you very much for the thoughtful responses. I bought the car today with the cloth seats. It was an 07 with 140 miles on it. I paid $23,625 -- $25,2 after taxes and title, etc. I used the argument posted by Yankees25 about the car being a used 07 with cloth seats the moment I drove it off the lot and the dealer offered it for 23,6 right off and I took it. NADA for this vehicle on the date of purchase, 18 Sep 08, was $26,050 (before taxes/title/inspection etc.) and KBB was $27,160 (before taxes, etc), so I feel like I got a pretty decent deal. Driving the car home tonight I felt better and better with each mile. It's a great car. Again, thanks for the thoughtful comments, they were a real help. Best regards,

Should have tried to go lower on the deal in my opinion. For example, you should have said something like "I'm strapped on cash so the highest I can go is 21 on this car". Honestly the dealer would have probably given it to you since its another car off their lot.
It doesn't matter though. As long as you like the car that's what matters.
