bought my wife another a3!this time a 1.6 se technic on a 60 plate and everytime she switches the engine off it says "NOTEEADLOCK.SEE OWNERS MANUAL> does anyone know what this is and can anyone reccommend where I can get a owners manual at areasonable price as we havnt got one.thanks all.

Also, check teh VAG-COM sub... There may be someone local to you with a reader who can a) clear that and/or b) find out what the problem is.

 

The warning is telling you that once you lock the doors, the interior door handles won't work and the car is deadlocked. If you press the lock button on the fob twice within 2 seconds it re-enables the interior door handles.

So it's just an FYI message - nothing to worry about. You might be able to disable it with a VAG-COM.
