Default desperately seeking sympathy

hey guys

[&o]

in december i posted here about the weird grindy noise coming out my dsg box... its been a terribly dissapointing 5 months. in january my audi dealer ordered and installed
a new dsg box.. great i thought. a new problem came up. as the car would come to a halt (sport or regular mode) there would be thump and jerk from the box. almost as if the clutch was not properly dissengaging... back to dealer. this went on for a couple months. they would "retune" the box with their computers and as i drive off from the dealer all would seem fine, but then during the week it just gradually came back... the thud on stopping. and the dealer just wanted to keep on "retuning" the box... i was getting nowhere... so i took it to another dealer but they said sorry this is a warranty repair that the previous dealer has already been paid for so they cant touch it... or something like that..
so i had had enough... contacted Audi South Africa... so they took my car again, another new gearbox being installed... that was 3 weeks ago. i have not seen my car in 3 weeks.

im just totally depressed, feeling really morbid... and the really weird thing is, if i had to buy a new car tomorrow it would be the same car with the same dsg box.. still the best box and car in the world

im looking for hugs etc....

What a major headache for you. Here in the USA some of the states have a lemon law that if a car requires that much repair they take it back and replace it. Have you contacted Audi Corporate about your A3? Audi South Africa can't simply keep your car for weeks on end while it is being serviced and not loan you another is my opinion.

LOTS of HUGS!!!! [sm=massbounce.gif]

Gee around here in the USA 2.0T FSI's seriously out number the 3.2 V6's! I never heard anyone consider the 2.0T FSI as a dull car, usually thought of as pure fun. Care to enlighten us about your 3.2 V6 versus 2.0T impressions.

He said 2.0...not 2.0T, outside the US they sell the 2.0 castrated of its snail...I could see it being considered dull since it would likely be ~150-160hp max.

monkeyberry, that dealership should be MAKING ROOM FOR YOU even if it means they need to pay technicians to work overtime or on a Saturday afternoon! It's basic customer service and satisfaction.
