Default dsg mounts

I think I have read in this forum about a "stiffer" transmission mount for the DSG and how it can improve performance, butI have searched and searched but could not find a reference to it. Anyway, my question is, if this is true, how can a stiffer mount affect performance?? What does it do to accomplish this? I have also search retailers as well, but to no avail. Tell me I am not imagining things!!!

I think your talking about a Dogbone Mount? I believe it is more tuned towards a MT but can also help DSG, by stopping wheel hoping in low gears at WOT (this is what Chef told me, I hope I quoted you right). I think you'll find it would be more noticeable with a ECU upgrade as well, as WOT on stock you don't get a whole heap of wheel spins unless you try really hard.

Stryker, could you tell a big difference in the DSG with the DB Mount?
