I am experiencing severe power loss (low end), stalling and a high pitched whine that sounds like turbo whistle in my 2006 A3 2.0T. It's "moaning" likes it's starved for air. It started after getting a tune-up from a reputable shop specializing in Germans. I started getting minor backfiring when AC on. I thought it was a belt or loose spark plug. Reading previous posts and a couple of other forums, I now think it may be the mass air flow filter. I'm considering bringing it in, but times are tight. Any help would be appreciated.
