I'm going to put a European license plate on the front of our A3. I'd like to find a source for the "bumper insert" piece that is NOT configured for an American plate. In other words, I'm trying to find the piece that is original equipment for Euro-speced A3s. I've done quite a bit of searching (Ebay, Google, all the usual suspects), but can't find one. I've seen them available for A4s, but not A3s. Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

Hey mr duty, if i'm not mistaken you want to put on a euro plate on top of that filler plate correct ?
Well there is an even nicer plate just like the filler plate you like at ecs but picture a cut out in the filler plate for your euro plate.
Go to audi world's web site and look up a guy by the name of Ryan he is a dj and party promoter on that site he is the hook up to these plates.

I'd love to get rid of the front license plate or do something like a Euro plate, but isn't that illegal? At least for me, I live in San Francisco and the front license plate holder fell off my old Honda Accord once. Some meter maid gave me a ticket for it, no kidding.

 

You need a front plate in CA. In my other cars I just throw the front plate in the trunk in case a cop gives me any issue, as they will usually simply tell you to put it on. Don't know what to do about meter maids tho.
