Neither; SARIS is the way to go. Have owned both Thule and Yakima before and by far SARIS is the easiest roof rack to install and un-install. If you intend to leave the rack installed all the time go for Yakima ( keeps fellow Washingtonians in business), however if you intend to install only whengoing to have fun then buySARIS. The darn thing takes at most two or three minutes to install. Have both bike and ski attachments and both are quite functional.

I have the Thule system that I use for our mountain bikes and kayaks and it works like a charm...and it doesn't look all that bad either. I would highly recommend it. I can post pics if you want as well.
Would love to see some pics of the Thule rack if you have them! Thanks
I'll take some pics next time I throw the mountain bikes or kayaks up on top.

rumbleski:

what model of Saris rack are you talking about? I did not know that they made a roof rack, I thought they only had hatch/trunk and hitch mount racks.

All racks make noise unless you put a ferring on it. Audi rack is designed for the Audi. NewAudi rack ddon't touch the paint if you have the roof rails.
