Goodbye A3 .... Hello A3!
Well, my two year love affair with my 2006 A3 2.0T is about to come to an end. I wasn't looking to replace her, but this weekend I fell into a deal too good to resist.
While kicking tires just for fun, I stumbled across a 2006 A3 3.2 S-Line with every option imaginable. It's got the cold weather package, leather, Open Sky, Xenon headlights, navigation, and bluetooth. As far as I can tell, the only option it doesn't have is the 18" wheels. She's Ocean Blue Pearl with a tan leather interior. (I'm going to miss my Brilliant Red!) With my trade and a few thousand cash, my payment will only be $20 more a month.
Even knowing how great a car I'm getting, I'm still conflicted, just becuase I love my A3 so much. Even though it doesn't have a single option - it's even got cloth seats. I keep telling myself I'll love the new car even more, but it's almost hard to imagine so. Also, I've never before bought a car becuase I wanted to - every time I've ever bought a car, it was becuase I needed a new one.
I have a few questions for anyone who knows the answers:
I had added a PhatBox to my car. Will it work with the Navigation system? The new car currently has a 6 disc changer, but I can easily remove that.
The car currently sports Yokohama Avid W4S tires. Opinions on these tires, both general, and especially in snow?
Thanks for reading,
Eric

Yeah...I'm not exactly a modder....
But I'm not sure why I would switch to a 3.2 V6 from a more than capable turbo four and have the same model and year (ok, with much better options) especially given that your first car is not old.
Though if your old car didn't have the open sky, that in my books is enough to make the move! Don't worry about what other people think about your switch, it's your car!

Well, I'm not a modder, so I'm interested in what the car is, not what it could be. My old car had not a single option - no open sky, no leather, no shift paddles or steering wheel stereo controls.
Also, I live in New England, so having the Quattro will definately help with our winters.
