So I've owned my 2006 A3 Sport line for a year now and with winter approaching I would like to get the heated seats working. They have not worked since I purchased the car and need information regarding wiring/diagnoses/fuses/etc. A possible related issue is the heated side view mirrors don't defrost either- just thought I'd mention that.

So I'm thinking I would start with checking fuses (they all appear to be good when checked for voltage, but if you can tell me which on specifically powers the heating element of the seats that would be great). Then I'd like to check the heating elements in the seats, for that I'd need the wire color codes if possible and maybe the resistance I should read from a good element. From there I would need some wiring information about the control switches on the dash.
