hey guys love the site lots of info. i just bought an 06 A3 with 52000 miles on it. ive had it for a week and love the car. well today i was leaving work, started the car waited about a min and drove off then looked down and the check engine light was on. i went to my buddies shop and he checked it out and the code was for cyl. one miss fire but only at the first 30 sec of start up when the car was cold. has any one had this or anything like this. really appreciate all the help.

 

Sparkplugs maybe?

 

The engine will fire twice as much in the first 30 seconds to try and warm the CAT for emissions purposes. The problem is either in your plugs or the coil pack. Neither is all that expensive and a little pulling and checking will provide you with a quick answer. My guess is on the plugs if they weren't changed recently. I had my OEM plugs out at 17k miles and the gap tolerances were all over the board. Good luck.
