soon as ignition is on or car is started air-con fan kicks in coming on and off randomly,battery light flashing and handbrake light flashing and Dash clocks light up and then die on me all gauges and lights dont work then they flash on and off intermittently just this 1 fault

Daughters 55 plate has same issues also radio display shows safe clears radio them works, sometimes speedo freezes and rev counter, Sent dash away to be checked came back no faults evident.

 

I wouldn't recommend replying to a 5 year old thread. The issue you are experiencing could be different (including the fault codes). Good start would be to provide a scan like the OP did in your own thread and go from there.
If you have codes like the OP I would recommend searching for the module causing you all the grief and replacing it. The canbus system we have in our cars is a little tricky because if one module completely fails and blocks the communication you will have a bunch of errors since the other modules cannot be reached anymore (imagine a circle and taking a piece out - suddenly you don't have a circle anymore and can't go around).

 

the pipe that supplies water to the rear screen...runs on the drivers side,apparently due to top class design,it pops off,and then wets the electrics in the boot area,open tailgate,remove carpet right side,check for water,also check spare wheel area for water.
