HOLY CRAP-NEW A3!
Hey everyone!
I'm gonna tell you the story of how I bought my A3. If you look a few posts down, you will see my dilema of new car buying. But this post will focus on my wonderful Audi. On my way to test driving the Acura TSX, I stopped at the Audi dealer and never made it to Acura.
As soon as I walked into the dealer, they informed me that they had no A3's with a manual transmission. I was clearly pissed, but as I was walking around their showroom I noticed an A3 that had a standard...The salesman then informed me that it had JUST come in today...AND it had the exact sticker I wanted to see: Brilliant RED, Premium Package, and Sirius. The sticker said $27,800. I thought, I should get this thing for invoice. The sales associate then sat us down with the price of $26,200. We seemed impressed, that was the invoice on the car...which we were expected to negotiate to get to at length. THEN, the salesperson literally said "Oh SH i T". He got up and went outside to where the car now was and we followed. He asked us if anything looked weird about the car, and I noticed the FRICKEN BODY KIT on it. The dealer had installed a front and rear air dam that gave a super low profile and clearance; and they forgot they did it! So our invoice price was very fair for the car we thought we were getting, but they said that they wouldnt go any higher because of what they said. At any rate, the kit turns out to be worth $1,400! So, I got the car at invoice and the kit for free! AND TO TOP IT OFF!!!: The general manager was so impressed with my negotiations of my A4 to trade in, that he OFFERED ME A FRICKEN JOB! So I am sitting down with him tomorrow to discuss specifics, so I will be passing the torch along to other wonderful Audi buyers.
All in all, I am sooo flippin happy wiht the car, and the power and handling is the best. I plan on chipping ASAP and enjoying FOREVER. What a great car.
Happy to be in the family...And happy to be possibly a new Sales Associate at Continental Motors of Melbourne, Florida.

Congrats... go chip it and fall in love all over again.
Like you, I never considered an A3. I went to go test drive an A4 and saw something different in the lot, the A3. Just driving it ended my search for a new car.

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!! just yesturday you were telling us all your dillemma........... now you're part of the family.......... congrat on your free body kit and your new job!!!!!!!!!!! people are damn lucky sometimes............. how come it doesn't come to me........
now you have to chip it.............. i think out there in florida, you guys have 93 octane right? instead of the usual 91 here in CA? chip it and fall in love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
