hello guys. I am a new member in this forum. I am an owner of an Audi A3 2003 1.6 102 HP. A friend of mine told me how to increase mileage by added in petrol ACETONE. I would like to ask if someone knows enything about this topic or if he already test it.

 

I wouldn't do it. I know the claims you talk about, and it might help mileage now, but you're going to run into problems down the road. The problem is the acetone will degrade rubber parts unless the engine is built for it. Maybe the A3 can handle it, but I wouldn't bet on it.

 

Your knowledge about this topic is because you have test it or from a friend of you?

 

not advisable ( it will damage your engine in the short run) its a cleaner used on stainless bits

 

Give me your car and I'd be glad to test it. Do an internet search on the subject.
