Default Just ordered APR software.

Well, after researching I've decided to go with APR. Besides, they have a great promotion going on right now until 1-3-07 so I'll save some bucks. I'm going with the Carbonio intake and will change the DV. Any other recommendations?

Get the full APR TB exhaust. A remarkable improvement over the stock and a better performance mod than the Carbonio CAI, although I think a CAI is needed too. Check out A3Night's thread on the PCV mod which you may choose to do in order to keep all of the boost pressure strong. I recommend a stiffer tranny or DB mount as well if you have a manual transmission. Well, you might as well throw in the APR Stage III software with the bigger turbo, a LSD, bigger tires, a RSW, and a big brake kit. Oh, I could go on, but why??? LOL

I guess my point is on what amount of power or performance will satisfy you and how much money are you willing to spend? The Sport Compact Car magazine has several tuners working on the GTI's this month and they have power upwards of 356whp and 389lbs tq.(and that's the APR car) Now that's a monster!

Cheers!

See now wasn't that nice spending all of someone else's money chef on all the right things? Yeah buddy you wont be dissapointed with the APR flash i've got the same w/carbonio cai, although if i'd had to do it all over again i'd probably go with a neuspeed, EAM, or anyother type of cone filter powder coated or heat shield tube.
Since i just installed my oettinger kit the two scoops up frt are angled big time towards the ground for several purposes but one they drive alot of cold air up into that area where that cone filter would be, just a thought. I bet falcom wont believe hearing me kind of dis carbonio. Anyway congrats on getting the apr this is much better then the 6 hour trial isn't it?

As long as I'm at it how about a K04. Better yet, I'll just drop in an RS4 w twin K04s. Now we're talkin.

Well, the APR big turbo kit is a K04, but the new tuners were using a GT2871R which will give you BIG numbers. Just let me know how much of your money you'd like me to spend and I'd be happy to help.

Cheers!

You've got it!

Just let me know when everything is together and I'll make a road trip to Vegas. I'm sure it will only take about 3 -3 1/2 hours the way I drive. Make sure you give me the card with the $20k limit. I'll give you everything you need to have the hottest A3 in the West.

Cheers!

Just got installed. What a difference! I put thousands into my 04 MINI S and even though it was quick, I never had anything improve the performance like this. Awesome.

Where did you go get it all installed?
Audi Speciliast?

Does the software and chip just come to you and then you bring it somewhere to install it?

On our cars the "chip" is really just a reflash. The company will hook a computer up to your OBDII port and load the new engine management program. It takes 15-30 minutes.
