I have never heard of the product. Is this an ECU flash you are talking about like Revo or APR?

apparently it just requires an ECU flash from the dealer, the VW GTI has it installed by default, basically, it works by turning the ESP off applying the brake, building up the RPM's to 3000 and releasing its meant to give you the best start off the line, with allot less squealing and wasted energy that normally happens when flooring it from 0.

just wondering if anyone has had it done or if modding the car with Revo or APR gives you something like that.

Ok got it. I haven't heard of it for an Audi. The revo ECU flash does not provide a launch control but does enable you to modify settings on throttle response, timing (on the 3.2 engine) or boost (on the 2.0) and fuel mix. These changes certainly can improve your launch time and feel but it isn't a setting which you put the car into the way you describe that is designed for a specific launch.

got an '09 here and launch control works (the car came with it, no chipping). unfortunately there's a bit of a lag (about half a sec) before the car goes. i've been told that audi intentionally puts this lag in every vehicle. the lag can be disabled by installing a switch. my local tuning shop sells it for about $300.00 canadian for older models (still waiting for the '09 model).

I've tried LC on my '09 A3 DSG FWD and the lag seems to defeat the purpose of a fast start. I am wondering if just flooring the gas would be quicker. Also disabling the ASR makes for loads of sideways movement when tires start to lose traction. I think it may better to leave it on.

i dunno the ESP seems to interfere too much for me if i want to peel out, also it seems i can hold the car longer around the red line with it off.

but from vids like this it looks very smooth, now since the A3 and the Gti are almost the same car i would assume it would be close to this on our audi's

with out LC you can't hold the brake like that i don't think and get that jump

The first thing I need to do is get better tires. The all seasons that came with the car just don't hold traction too well . Then I can try LC the right way!
