Default Launch Control??

On the b7 GLIs and GTIs you can obviously turn off the traction control and peel out if you have an automatic, by setting the revs at about 2500 then flooring it. Everytime i try this with my b7 a4 (tip.) it never works..it seems like when i floor it theres like a rev limiter or something so its impossible to get a start on any race. Can anyone help me?

Have you tried turning off the "ESP" on your car before you give it a go? That would be my only guess. Other than the fact that the car is not meant for street racing.

well, do you have quattro? because with quattro you are gonna have to be making some serious power to get any tire spin, it's just the fact with AWD. if you have FWD then I don't know, but why would you want to launch your tip by throwing it into drive when the cars rev'd, it's not healthy for the tranny at all.

no i fwd, and i don't pop it into drive when its revved in neutral, you hold on the brake in the sport mode, rev it up, then release the brake and floor it. doesn't work for me though, what a bummer.
