Default LED replacement bulbs

Can anyone share their experience with the replacing conventional bulbs on headlights, taillights and DRLs?Also if possible recommend the brands or kinds of LEDs that won't throw the false CEL.Thanks for your replies.

For interior lights - Emil at Krautoparts.com has made up kits for Audi applications with LED's that have built in resistors so they will operate correctly. His prices are pretty good too. Superbright LEDs has all the bulbs you would need for tail, turn, reverse etc. and has the resistors needed for proper operation. One recommendation I would suggest is not to use the "3M connectors" supplied with the resistors. Use a quality butt connector.

Rider, thanks for the reply, but I am looking for "plug 'n play"kind of LEDs,don't wanna install extra resistors or any extra wiring.I'm not very skilled at that kind of work.I need something easy to install.

There are some bulbs that both Krautoparts and Superbright LED sells that are termed "CAN bus" that have built in resistors that you shouldn't have problems with.

i've tried several sets off ebay, other "audi" specific sites, etc --- i still haven't found any led lights that work. they might work for a while (even a few months), but they crap out after a while - much sooner than a regular bulb. really frustrating to see all these lexus's ride around with nice led lights .... let us know if you find anything that works well

^I've had Emil's LED's in my rear plate lights since last December. No problems yet... (in fact, LED's in general are proven to last way longer than any conventional bulb).

OP, if you're looking for a full LED headlight replacement like the new A6, A7, and A8, I think your SOL. If you're looking for some replacement headlights with the LED strip in it, there are plenty of options out there, but they look pretty cheesy if you ask me.

emil - what LEDs are you running? I know they last longer than regular bulbs in general, but mine have stopped working because something goes wrong --- all the LEDs I've used so far have stopped working, and then I look and there's brown residue and other crap on the bulb.
