Hi Barfly,

What year is the A3? What packages does it have? I'm guessing it's a 07' (and probably an 07 demo car) that dealer couldn't sell. If that's the case, 33980 is definitely too high. count that 1.5 year worth of depreciation value in. I wouldn't even offer more than 31.

Thanks for responding, the year is 2007, its an quattro S-line with premium package as standard, dual-pane sunroof, Bose audio system.

Where could I find the invoice price?

is that 1.5 percent of total value per year?

No it's not. However A3 depreciates quite a big in the first 2-3 years. I think it drops at least 8k in the first year. Like saintforlife said, Edmunds.com should give you a good idea where the price would be. That 3k mileage really sounds like a demo/tester. Ask dealer about it, if it is, you can press for even a cheaper price tag.

Good luck!

Pulled the trigger yesterday, thanks to OMNIMOFO and SAINTFORLIFE, for your help. the TMV was 30600 dealer got it for 31600... I'm happy with that. probably could have talked him down a little bit more because he went for 316 to easy... Next time...

Now looking for upgrades, black grill 1st, then some other stuff new rims, and upgrade to full nav/sat system, want to stay with Audi on that but if I can find keenwood or alpine that will work with steering wheel controls I'll do that...

But thanks Guys.
