Default My Run-in with an odd BMW

i got behind a bmw yesturday and couldn't figure out what that model is, it's not an old Z3, nor an old or new Z4, it had no badges except the bmw badge, so the light turned red and the guy gassed it hard, me, knowing that that guy was gonna gas it, i was ready keeping within 10 ft behind him, i know, i was tailgating him, then the lane next to him opened up, we we both doing 100 by now, i pulled up next to him and looked at him and the car and STILL can't figure out what model it is. they guy is probably wondering how i'm keeping up with him, but instead, i was trying to figure out what the Fuq what car that is,

does anyone on this forum know if there are some different models of BMW out there or maybe a concept model, i've tried looking on the BMW website and didn't find that model. but whatever it is, it's slower than my car, i know that for sure!!!!!

only other roadster they've made was the z8, and that had the m5 motor in it putting out 400hp. definately faster then any a3. so if it was a z8, he wasn't even close to trying.

another somewhat rare bmw...

bmw 840 and 850 models. 840's had close to 280hp minimum which could should easily keep up with an a3, 850's were V12 powered with 320-400hp, enough to embarass an A3, chipped or not. so probably not your missing bmw. dunno what else i could be though without a description.

Yup, that's it, it's the Z8, is it even sold in the US? how come it's not on the website? well, if the Z8 is supposed to be that fast, i guess that fat driver was also a bad driver then since i was on his a$$ through 2nd and 3rd gear before i pulled up next to him on 4th, maybe he's just not a wacko driver like i am. how many horses are they supposed to run? and how fast are they supposed to be?

Z8's are SWEET!!!

Nam, just be grateful that he didn't see you as a threat or else you wouldn't have gotten a very good look at him.

ZOOOOMMM......................Bye Bye Nam.[sm=smiley29.gif]

That's almost as bad as me with the Porsche 4S.

There seems to be a weekly thread about Nam...

(1) seeing another vehicle which is supposedly to be fairly fast;
(2) which he may or may not recognize;
(3) to which Nam, with his amazing driving skills, either:
(i) readily keeps up with if he was behind or otherwise close by, or
(ii) catches up to if he was further away;
(4) after which both Nam and said other vehicle are doing 100mph+*.

* (in spite of his 103mph ticket from a few years back)

And if you are astute, you see that these threads alternate with other threads in which Nam expresses:
(a) a desire for further velocity enhancing mods, and
(b) a lack of funds to accomplish the former.

Nam, slow down.

yes its sold in the US(was sold, discontinued now)
it's powered by the outgoing M5 engine putting out 400hp. he was just toying with you, maybe trying to see how fast youcould go or something.
