hi guys,

i just purchased a new 2010 A3 2.0T. first thing i noticed under light to lightly moderate acceleration, there is a kind of a gurgling/hissing (almost kind of rattling) noise in between shifts. under firm acceleration the noise seems to be more smooth and less noticeable. is this the DV valve noise?

if anyone has experienced the same or can fill me in on what it MIGHT be. please let me know.

first time with a turbo so i have no idea.

sorry but gurgling/hissing/rattling noise is kind of confusing to me. my 2007 makes no such noise.

 

I agree with the last post. No, no such noises with my 2007 Audi A3. If you have what you described, I would bring this up to my dealer while it is under warranty. I would think that this car being 3 generation would have the kinks worked out, though, maybe you have a lemon. Ive heard of crazier things with the A3.

I still love my car though/./ $800.00 55K maintenance beware though

 

i drove my neighbors 09 TT and it has the same noises. just to make sure i'll take it up with the dealer.
