Now the hardest thing to suffer through is breaking the car in per Audi guidelines for first 600 miles, then 1000 miles guidelines. Be kind!
Make sure your tires are slightly overinflated at about 40 psi. Really helps with mileage and tire wear of 225/40/17 tires. Both the tires and brakes will be need a few hundred miles before worn in. The engine will at first not get terrific milage, but by 2500 to 3000 miles will get what EPA rated car. You'll find if you drive faster then 75 MPH your milage takes a hit even broken in. Enjoy your new A3!

I <3 roadsters, 50/50 balance, and RWD. I'll admit I saw an A3 today while driving PCH in Costa Mesa and said to myself "hawt!" But of course, I knew the dude in the A3 looked at my car and the same.
Congrats on your A3 though. You got a real good price. Now chip it!

Very nice ride. So in the end you went with premium for the power seat, hey?
I have less than 800 miles on mine and I have being trying to abide by the 600/1000 guidelines as JohnS1 said, and it is tough to do but hopefully rewarding in the ling run! I would love to get EPA rating on the mileage, today I got 10miles to the gallon… I wish it were because I was doing 130mph but I was closer to 13 for the whole ride going to the beach… Going to the beach on a sunny Sunday, I guess there are a lot of smart fellows who figure out the same thing… A lot! Although your DSG would have come in handy, I proudly struggled with my MT… I am jealous about the sky though, going from a convertible to the A3 without it, it seems like I have a lot of metal on top of my head…
Very nice ride indeed.
