Fronts are 19x8.5 with 225/35r19
Rears are 19x9.5 with 235/35r19
offset is 35

Great for stock but alot of rubbing if lowered. Quick fix is to bring the car hight back up or go with 225 in the rear and 215 in the front... super stretch.

OK...I'm new here (as you can see this is my first post). But I am possibly in the market for an A3....and I have to say that your car has REALLY got me excited about knowing more. LOOKS GREAT!

Now (and let me apologize for hijacking your thread), I have a few questions about the A3:

1 - What was the 1st production year of the "sportback"?
2 - Is there anyone here who has an infant car seat in their A3? I am really looking for a 2nd vehicle for the wife (that I can have fun with on the weekends )
3 - I am going to test drive the 2.0 FWD this weekend...what are your suggestions on options/upgrades etc?
4 - GODSPEED4LIFE - can you give me a quick run down of your mods....again...I REALLY like the look of your car.

Thanks in advance everyone....I may be a regualr member of this community soon!

1) I too am new to the Audi world, but for this production sport back, I think they came out late last year. I have seen older model A3s on the road but don't know if they are considered "sportback" and I have only seen 2 door versions. No 4 door.

2) I don't have an infant car seat but do have a toddler car seat. If you go cloth interior, you should be fine. If you go leather, it will cost you more and the infant/baby car seat tend to leave an imprint in the leather. Besides, kids will always make a mess when there young. I have my son’s foot prints all over my back seats. By the way, my kids love the car. I have a 5 yr old son and an 11 yr old daughter.

3)24,000 get you the base model. I got the 2.0T with the premium package. That includes all the bells and whistles that Audi has to offer. I love it because I drive it everyday. My suggestion is to get the basic model so you have extra money to fix it up. That's just me though. If your wife gets lost allot, you might want to get the GPS system. Porsche and BMW owners that have been in my car love the GPS. They say its better then theirs and that say allot. Do drive the 2.0T FWD with the DSG and the Stick version, also the V6 Quattro with both transmissions so you can compare.

4) From what I can remember:
Deaselgeek Short Shifter
Neuspeed Intake with Custom Cold Air Extension
Neuspeed Pulley
KW V2 suspension
MRR Rims 19x8.5 front 19x9.5 rear
Tires are 225/35 front 235/35 rear for mild stretch
A3 door sills
Tinted
RS pedals
MTX AMP with 10 inch SUB....WHAT...I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!
Yellow Fog Lights
Smoked front and side markers
Painted the chrome
No A3 Badge
No Rear wiper
AWE vented boost gage
Turbo Timer
Removed resonator
Forge adjustable valve
And I think that is it from the top of my head.

Future Plans are:
Revo chip
Rieger Kit
Neuspeed Sway Bars
Carbon Fiber Hood
Carbon Fiber Engine Cover
Front Mount Intercooler
Bigger turbo then go to a 3" exhaust system
DVD monitors in the head rest for the kids
Momo shift ****
More gages
Optima Battery
And what ever else might come out in the future

Hope this helps,

Oz

I have three kids and two with car seats. I suggest going with the leather since it cleans much better. Just place a towel or cloth between the car seat and the leather. You will get a little impression in the seat from the weight, but the same wear will happen with cloth seats. I've had both styles and prefer the leather with kids. Just my $.02.
