Noob who's very interested...
Did it come with the bose nav system? if it did that I would just go buy a 2 4GB SD card and download all your MP3 files on to it an plug it into the slots behind the screen. Then you get all the song titles and cool stuff. You probably have AAV or AVV files what ever iTunes downloads it too but then those would be the songs you couldn't listen to. Now if you don't the iPod adapter isn't the best but worth not tearing up the deck for. But if I remember correctly in 06 the Bose was the Nav system and nothing less. Correct me if I'm wrong folks.
Well it did come with the Bose sound, but without the nav system. It has a 6 disc and tape deck (wtf!?) and it's the Audi Symphony package. Sounds really good, but I'm young, my iPod is my second love (next to my A3 now)
and I gotta get situated with a legit mp3 set up. If anyone could chime in with some solutions I would GREATLY appreciate it!

I have the same set-up with Bose, no nav, and I just use the tape insert on a charging stand. It doesn't sound bad at all, and I can keep my Sirius connected to the CD changer input. I was seriously contemplating putting in a powered sub in the back and disconnecting the stock one. I think that would clean up the muddy bass and give it more volume and overall punch. Congrats!
Cheers!
