Odometer - is it tampered?

Default Odometer - is it tampered?
Hi there

I was wandering if there is a way to check if the odometer is not tampered with, besides the local dealership (I have some suspicions) using the VIN?

I'm not sure about using the VIN other than checking car fax, but if you know someone with a VAG COM they can check the odometer and the miles on the computer they should match within say 20 miles of each other.

What is VAG COM?

VAG-COM is the old name for VCDS, diagnostic/customization software for VW group products.

Some cars are saved in the ECM not the ip
