Default passanger window

Hi,
The other day my passanger window stopped working on the way UP only! when controlled from the driver side. The window operates just fine from the button the passanger door and only controls DOWN from the driver button, but NOT UP. Any ideas what might be the problem? Is there a seperate relay for each door? Maybe the switch action on the driver side? How would I go about it to verify, any ideas would be great.

Thanks

I had the same problem with my car. It was tricky to get Audi to fix it.

When Audi checked it, they found nothing. However, with my friend's VAG-COM we found an error. I'm sorry, but I forgot the number, but the code read "intermittent signal error"

They had to pull the car apart to 'fix' it, but it never worked 100% of the time....Audi in Taiwan and Audi's German training supervisor could not figure out why it had an intermittent signal.

OP, try lowering the window down all the way, then up again. Most times, if you cycle it that way, it "fixes" and works fine.

Interesting response....this should still be covered under Audi's warranty, right? I'll be taking the car in about a month for the 30kmi checkup and I'll think I will have them take a look. So it sounds to me the problem is a bad "software" link and not necessairly a hardware, right? So no way of fixing other than via Vag-Com? I have tried the "reset" by rolling the window all the way down and back up several times, but no sigar. Any other clever ideas?
