Default PCV mod.

I had my car APR chipped and installed Neuspeed CAI, so i'm upgrading my diverter valve from the factory 'B' valve to upgraded 'C' valve, should i go ahead and change the PCV Pressure Regulator Valve, Updated Version "G" too? I was told that this valve replaces the old version that was prone to premature leaks which in some cases caused lower boost levels, is that true?

Default RE: PCV mod.

The general concensus is that your PCV will slowly fail. If you have a boost guage, you'll notice a loss in boost over a 6 month period. I choose to do the PCV mod because its a cheaper alternative to replacing it with the OEM version... $25 vs over $100. There are alsotalks that the "G" valve you speak of has already been revised to "H". This alone should show you that Audi is still working out the kinks for their on PCV. Furthermore, to install the "G" or "H" valve, you will need to replace a tube located near the firewall. My advice is to do the DIY PCV mod and wait for the OEM PCV fix when all the bugs are out. Also invest in a boost guage as well.
