Hesitant to start a warranty claim. It's minor enough that most service advisors (and probably most people) would look at it and say "huh?"

Do you have your service done at the dealer? Perhaps you could ask them to look at it next time you take it in. That way it's a bit more casual and it doesn't make you look like you're going out of your way to be a jackass. When I took my A3 in for the 5k service I mentioned a few things to the service advisor and he had them taken care of; no questions, no hassle, no warranty claim. It should be covered, and if you're already there why not ask? The answer is always 'no' until you ask.
