This question has been asked earlier on this forum. Even the manual Perf package would be slightly bested 0 - 60 by a chipped A3.
2002 - 2005 BMW 330i spec's for reference.
BMW 330i top speed : 128 mph(electronically limited)
0-60 mph : 5.8 sec.(manual Perf. pack), 6.2 sec.(manual), 7.0 sec.(auto)
0-¼ mile : 14.8 sec. @ 95.0 mph(manual)

I've personally raced a 330ci and totally pissed him off when he kept falling farther and farther back. I couldn't help having the biggest grin on my face.

Cheers!

Well, I've gotten entirely humiliated by a Porsche 4S near my old house, but it was fun watching that thing open up and run through the turns. Obviously, my view was from way back behind him.

Also, I was heading up a big hill, running late for a GTG and under WOT, when a well-modded BMW 335i walks right around me. Ouch![:@] I wasn't even picking on him.

Otherwise, I'm fairly aware of what I can and can't take. The funnest cars to beatare the new Mustang GT's. There owners get really pissed having a small German car ripping on them. LOL

Cheers!

Chef, you saying you've taken the new GT's? Seems like a bit of a stretch to me, they are pretty damn fast, a coworker used to have a automatic convertable, and even with more weight, it felt faster then my a3 could be, is stage2 really that much faster? 300hp is a lot...

On a sidenote i got absolutely humiliated by an older GT before...I was just driving spiritedly, think he heard the turbo and figured he's slap my *** around...heard the distinct whine of a big *** blower and that thing took off like a bat out of hell. American V8's aren't to be taken lightly, they are VERY cheap to mod for BIG power.

Very true about the modded V-8's. They can get scary amounts of power for not much dough.

Yes, you can take a Mustang GT with a well modded A3. Now, if they have a supercharger on the GT, forget about it.

Cheers!

I dunno what it is about that car but if I had to have any other car besides the A3 Id want that!

So anyways, Chef, are you saying an 07 stock 335i cant beat your well modded A3?

No, I'm not saying that. I don't really know, but I have a hunch the Bimmer would win by a little. I did play with a guy in a bimmer a couple months back, and I wouldlaunch, he followed behind, fell back a little, then would catch up. I didn't know until I turned that it was a brand new 335i. My guess was that he was having fun playing chase with me. The only real "race" that I've had is when the modded, so I assume, 335i walked around me.

It would be fun to find out, and I see a LOT of them around here now. Maybe I'll scare me up one in a day or so when the A3 comes home?

Cheers!
