Good question, but it has been beat to death in the nOOb thread. The quick answer is YES, it will void your warranty. Anything that you do to your car can void the warranty for that particular part, or parts that work in conjunction with that part. Technically, it only voids the warranty if your part caused the problem, but you'd be fighting the dealer and all of their lawyers, if push came to shove. Considering the ECU controls about all of the mechanical functions in the engine, the dealer could very easily refuse warranty work on most components, stating the the chipped ECU caused the problem. There's where the battle begins.

Having said all of that, how is the Austin dealer anyway??? I was told that the SA dealer sucked, and the Austin dealer was pretty cool? I'm moving between SA and Austin next summer and I was trying to find the best dealer for service on my car.

BTW, we have some cool dealers in the SoCal area, and some very cool service people too. My service guy knows about all of the mods on my car, and we do everything hush hush. But, it push came to shove, I am responsible for all of the mods done to my car and any problems that they cause. There's the down side of modding.[&:]

Cheers!

As long as you get the option of going back stock you should be fine?
FYI keep your stickers of the mods you have off of the car.

That's totally cool to hear!!! Congrats!

Now I'm a little more excited about moving to Texas. Not to mention the premium fuel which is 93 octane in Texas.

Cheers!
