that bel is a good one, as is the v1 and the passport 8500. all should be paired w/some sort of a laser shifter though (i personally recommend either the lidatek or escort zr3 shifter).

Do a search for radar busters, a guy by the name of radar Roy will come up, he is a retired cop in the desert testing all these radars everyone is talking about. In his test i think he found the Escort 8500 x50 to be the better one overall.

I'm to on the market for one and have narrowed it down to the Escort and Valentine.

How do you like the Valentine Falcom? And why did you choose that one?

Valentine is great, i like it because it has the indicator of where the signal is coming from, makes finding false alarms easier(shopping centers and such). that and i got it for free so....yeah.

I got the escort passport 8500... and it does give false alarms so those arrows would be helpful like falcompsx said.. but overall its a wonderful radar detector and has gotten me out of countless tickets... but you gotta watch out for those smart *** cops that turn their radar on right when you get near them ( thats how i got my ticket )

^^^think u can actually fight a lot of those instant on tickets in court as their reliability and accuracy is GREATLY reduced when they do that.

Bel LR975 was my choice. I've had it for 4 years (4 cars). It is a really good detector and stealth installation sold me on it. https://www.audiforums.com/m_352147/.../tm.htm#352147

I saw that the Bel RX75 was highly rated on the http://www.radarbusters.com/ site. Stealth is the way to go. If an officer sees the unit...you are going to get a hassle.
