Recent Pricing on '09 A3
Hi there,
I'm looking to purchase an A3 in the next few weeks and seek opinions on a 'reasonable', good price these days. Since the new '10's are coming does it mean the dealer is more flexible with pricing?
How much below invoice should i be targeting? For:
a quattro Premium AT invoiced at $32262
or
a FrontTrak AT Premium invoiced at $27238
how much should i expect to pay, final price - including fees and taxes (8% sales tax)
also, do the A3's come with some window tint? How much additional can I expect to pay for tinting, without getting mangled at the dealership?
Much appreciated!!

I couldn't get the Houston dealers to budge at all on a A3. The A4 is what they are pushing. I bought used and saved about 10g. Have some else do the tinting. Chances are the dealer sends it out to have it done.

Sounds like I'm in the same boat as you.
This will be my first "new" car purchase and I'm only doing it because it's worth it if you put more than 20% down on it.
I'm not back in the US yet but will be soon and as soon as I get back I am buying a new Audi A3 MT 2.0T w/ S-Line package.
Anyways a friend of my got a great deal on a new 2008 BMW 328i and while he was browsing their forums he found the Rizzo Method. I never heard of this before but it sounds wonderful. Once you read it, you'll be amazed. Only problem for me is that there's only 1 dealership within a 200 mile radius of my zip code. This method really only works if there's a good amount of new car dealerships in your area.
Anyways check it out. URL http://www.e46fanatics.com/faq/rizzo.html
Have you thought about waiting until 2010 models come out? I've heard they are going back to 2dr coupes but I'm not sure.
Enjoy
