Default s3 body kit?

Well I really like the front bumper of the S3 and i was wondering if it was possible to get the front bumper of the s3 on an A3 in the US. Id think the dealer could have it shipped to them and they can install it but maybe someone else knows more about it than i do. Would be 2007 S3 front bumper onto a 2007 A3.

thanks

I'm almost positive it's been done, but I don't have anything solid to back that up. It should work fine - the A3 and S3 are structurally identical, the S3 even uses the same 2.0T as the A3, just with a larger turbo and upgraded internals. I know for a fact that the S4 bumper bolts up directly on the A4.

EDIT: This may help: http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/showthread.php?t=34381

The original alloy bumper carrier is too deep,so you need to trim about 15-20mm from the lower edge of it,this is just excess alloy-not into the reinforcing of the carrier.Or you could always order an S3 carrier.
Sounds like a small hurdle, other than that he says it's a direct bolt-on. If you decide to do it, be sure to let us know how it turns out and post pics.

EDIT 2: You can buy the parts needed for the S3 front conversion here: http://oempl.us/product_info.php?cPa...1529cb66cb068d

Pretty simple mod three big screws on top of the bumpertwo inside wheel well hehind mud gaurd (in frt of the wheels)
couple in the bottom wich connect black plastic skid plate to the bottom of the bumper.

Dont forget to disconnect fog lights etc. The fogs are one thing i think are not interchangeble. Good luck.

Styker is absolutely correct. But, you could just get the grill replacement which is a nice visual change, but not the entire S3 front. That is only $200 or so and purchased from a "German" distributer on Ebay.

Here is my car with the S3 front grill on the 2006 Sport Package:

Many A3 owners have done it, as BAMF said oempl.us (ask for Rich) is probably your best bet.

Well it depends on how cool the dealer wants to be about it. I'm not sure if they can orderthe part since it is not a US market part, but if you order it I'm sure most dealers will paint it and install it for you.

Why go through the dealer? Even if they are willing to do it, they will charge you a premium and out source it to someone else anyways. It's only a bumper. Not like there's too many things that can go wrong with it. Any decent body shop will be able to handle it. If you read the thread I posted, it also fits in your trunk, so transporting it will not be a problem.
