Anybody else see the blurb this month in Road and Track on the R4. Boxster Killer.

Mid-engine application of our 2.0T (tuned ofcourse) with beefier internals. Could be sweet.

Why the f&^k wouldnt Audi offer this engine with the s-line package of the a3? With the Euro as strong as it is, you would think they would be looking for more ways to scalp us power hungry americans! I would...And i would have bought it.

 

a3 is "entry level"... well up until the release of the a1, i agree, there should be an "option", cause i'd be all over it. but all we can do is wish

 

Is it the transversal 2.0T like that in the A3, or the longitudal 2.0T like in the A4?

 

Maybe they figured that the 3.2 quattro A3 was satisifaction enough for us power-hungry Americans......

But you can't get a damn manual gearbox!
