so i either have a really really bad attention span or my side mirrors are have just been this freaking loud all along, but there is a crazy amount of wind noise coming from them at highway speeds. it doesn't seem to be cross-wind related or anything, either. is this normal? has it been happening all along and i just noticed it recently? am i nuts?

 

Hmmm...I've never noticed that problem.

 

I don't notice that if the windows are up. But when the windows are down, the left mirror (and probably the right too, but it's much further away) makes this high pitched whistling noise at > 50mph. I think it's the air going through the gap where the mirror can fold in.

 

I drive around with my windows down more often than not, and I have never experienced anything like that.

 

none of you get wind noise from the side mirrors at all?

 

I have all my windows down most of the time too, and I've never experienced it.

just to clarify, it's not the whistling or anything. it's just a wooshing wind noise.

 

mine did that and dealer said to keep the speed down to 140mph lol, check all the seals are good
