Yea, the clips on the sun-shades are by far the cheapest feeling thing in the car. Everything else is superbly firm and sturdy except for those flimsy clips!

I bought my A3 used, and the sunroof is tinted almost black... I figured it came from the factory like that. It sat outside a few 100+ degrees days in the sun with no problems.

I'm thinking about tinting the open sky panels too, and the rest of the windows

How much did you folks pay for the sunroof tint?

Drumdork - who did you use here in town for the tint, and did you like the job they did 8 months later?

Holy dead thread revival, Batman!

I had many options closer to home in Durham, but I went with Rikki at Formula One in Cary. He installed a clear auto bra, 38% all the way around and the 15% on top. He's not cheap - one of the most expensive - but he did a great job and had the best available ceramic tint. He didn't have to remove door panels, which is what many locals said they'd have to do. I'm very satisfied. Local dealers use him pre-sales, so I knew he'd be good.

If you don't have Bluetooth or Satellite, there are much cheaper options with him and elsewhere, with metallics and hybrid film. Forumla One's pricey but very good stuff. Lifetime transferrable warranty, too!
