The consensus on oil is that it's good for the car.

i notice that mobil 1 is listed as 502 00 compliant, but it is not listed under 505 01 standards? does this mean it is ok to use or not reccomended? I dont really see how mobil 1 could be bad for the car, i know its high quality synthetic oil and i've used it on all the previous japanese cars i've owned without any problems.

 

The new standard has tighter restrictions on Zinc content, which Mobil 1 probably doesn't fit.

If it's not on the list, it's for a good reason.
