I've just bought a 04 2.0 Tdi A3. The speedo doesn't work and when accelerating the fuel gauge drop right down and the low fuel beep sounds. Are these two related as I've seen posts saying they could be.

Does anyone know how to rectify these problems?

i have the same problems on my car its a 1998 Audi A4 2.8l Quattro
the speedo went out and shortly after i noticed the fuel gauge fluctuates while driving. does anyone know the root cause of this problem? i heard it might be the VSS or its a magnetic ring inside of the differential case (which i really hope its not) it just happened a few days ago and have not been able to have time to look at it. any help is appriciated!!!!
