I'm new to Forum and just received my A3 yesterday, so super happy with it (3.2 SLine)! Couple questions though: There is Storage under the passengers seat, but an empty space under the drivers seat. The manual says 'seats', and I read in a detailed review there was a small storage compartment under both seats. When I spoke to the dealership about it, they said that because of the electronics under the drivers seat there was no room for the little storage compartment. Does this sound right? Anyone else have power seat and a storage compartment?

There is a storage compartment on my passenger side only, i have an 07 S-line DSG no power to the seats, so one would think there is plenty of space because there is no motor underneath there.

 

no point putting anything of value in there because every knows about it, what a stupid Idea and telling every one

 

Dealership is right. Since you have a power driver seat they can't put the little compartment there.

 

Thanks for the reply! I guess I need to look at a few AS3's with power front seats and see if they have a storage compartment under the front seat to know for certain...

 

Strange - I have manual seats and there is only a storage compartment on the Passenger's side.

Anyone else with the Sport Package have the same setup? All of us, perhaps?

 

Same set-up here. I thought only the A4's+ had the driver's seat compartment. Never heard of one on the US spec A3's.

 

I've got the compartment on my '06 sport model. Maybe a change for '07.

 

This must be something that comes with the convienence package. I've got storage under both front seats and I have the sport and convienence packages.

 

Yeah, I bet you're correct. That sounds somewhat familar.
