Default Sway bar and wheel spacers

i need advice, i think my next mod will be a sway bar, i look up ecs tuning and they have one by H&R for 170 bucks, then i saw some wheel spacers to push out my tires a lil bit.

don't worry chef, until new rotors, no more hitting 130's on the fwy.

so as for advice.... worth my money for sway bar? and do wheel spacers affect any performance at all? if not, would 235/35's make my tires flush with the body?

damn, i shouldn't have met you guys on AF, chef's right, it's a freakin addiction.

any advice would be greatful.

Sway bar will probably be your best mod for cornering performance. It'll greatly reduce your understeer and body roll. Probably give you more confidence in the twisties as well

A sway bar (anti-roll bar as we call it in the UK) as its UK name suggests reduces body roll under cornering, effectively stiffening the end of the car up. Your Audi will already have an anti-roll bar at both ends, so you would probably be looking at upgrading to a stiffer one. Stiffening the rear should improve front handling and reduce understeer.

Stiffening the front would not be a good idea as it would reduce traction when exiting corners.

Your best bet for improving cornering is to upgrade the dampers/coilovers and probably lower your car. You could also consider going for larger wheels with lower profile tyres to stiffen up the ride.

Wheel spacers would increase the overall track of the car and improve cornering, although this is quite negligible considering the little amount you could actually space the wheels.

I bought the H&R Bar front and rear. Did not put the front in. Have the back bar set full stiff and car handles great (also have H&R springs/Bilstein Sport struts). No need to stiffen the front up more than stock unless you are looking for some "safe push" on the track.
I have 235 40's on my car with A4 wheels which have a 35MM offset and they hit the fenders. I have new wheels going on Monday with a 48mm offset which is closer to stock for the car so...watch out for spacers may push tires out too far and you will have same problem I did.
Big front brakes from STOP TECH going on next. I gotta stop soon!
