turbo rebuilt on a 07 a3 fully loaded
ORIGINAL: orange Bang
Hello fellow a3 members..
My name is robert. and i have a A3 07 fully load. i have all s line package wif navi and also manual transmission. I am 19 years old. i went ahead and got all my after market parts from david in eurocodetunning. i purchased a neuspeed power pulley and intake, i also purchased ther greddy rs blow off that david refers to as his custom bov that is good for ur car... well all that is bullshit... his blow off made my car loose boost and my car would not chip gears anymor, not like i do often, well i took my car to speed factory off of fullerton. And guess what, the blow off was lossing to much pressure and made my oil seals rip.. so now because of stupid david and his stupid replica of a greddy that he advises everyone to get i had to rebuilt my turbo. it ran me about 1300 dollars to fix the problem.. If ur considering a aftermarket bov or diverter i suggest you go wif forge because they specialize in audi and vw... trust me i did and it was a HUGE difference.. I have money and david took advantage of that... i oredered a apr full exhaust system and chip from him and i cancelled my order.... If u deal wif david he is trying to sell his products more then help u out in the long run... i advise everyone to research all their parts before purchase and choose a company that would help u in the long run instead of making money off you... I went wif speed factory and they rebuilt my turbo i did my exhaust and HRE rims wif them and my Forge twinturcooler wif them also... my car is a rare and limdted edition... i would like to give a big thanks to sean from Speedfactory and a big thumbs down to david and his company....please check out the speed factory website because i am soon to purchase the ko4 turbo to my car and run 300 hp on stock.... Please do not buy from daivd and if u did check if the bov he consideres better is not dripping oil.... thanx too all whole reads this....soon to upload pics of my car.... killing all the competion out ther wif A3....

swau- well to get bac on topic. i felt like my car had a lost in boost after i installed the eurocode dv.. i also found out after talking to David that his bov is ONLY a replica of a greddy RS. I really didnt like the noise of my bov. After some research i decided to switch up my bov to a FORGe since they specialize in audi and VW. So i went to Speedfactory located a few miles from my house.. Ther i purchased the forge bov and a euro tech told me that having a big repilca of a greddy bov was making my car release a overamount of pressure.. after removing the bov he discoverd oil in the bov and on the adapter. after a check he said that the bov cause a sealleak in oil. he told me the best thing to do was to clean it up and replace the Forge bov and see the results in 2 to3 days and see if it still dripped oil.. Which it did.. Sean at speedfactory said i was the 4th person from eurocode that was disappointed and started working wif him.. Also sean knows and works wif David from Eurocode and told me that david would try to sell everyone the dv kit becauase of course its ther so call signature bov they produced..
Cutting down the facts we have a small turbos in our A3 and do not require such a huge bov if anything Forge maunfactures a exact bov for 2.0l FSI engines whcih is what we got... Maybe it was my problem but if i was u i would take my car to a shop and see if ther is oil in my bov. Trust after putting on the Forge bov i felt the huge difference in power i was loosing and my car responded way better... yeah i will see u at the next GTG hope this problem didnt happen to u and only me... cuz man i been bummed out for about a month now...

why get a blow off valve at all? I mean, even on my '91 Twin turbo stock you get Recirculating valves, which is better than a blow off valve, I'm not an expert on the A3 turbo, but I'd imagine it would have a recirculating valve, if so wouldn't a blow off valve be downgrading?

Yeah, I have the same set-up and mine is working fine too. Not sure why you'd have that problem? It's pretty simple technology and it works off of the vacuum line so it should be open or closed based on the boost or vacuum. I don't see where it would cause a problem under normal, correct, operation?
Cheers!
Cheers!
true it does... but yet again that is a big BOv for such a small turbo... 22 psi is pretty high do u have ur ecu tuned also... maybe it is just my problem.. But the FOrge has so much better response... Chef i spoke to u about this problem previous when i had first purchased the eurocode setup... And i dorecall if u go back and check u told me it felt like u lost a little bit of boost.. Hmm i hope i can meet up wif you guys at GTG and we can discuss this problem in more detail.. I am gonna do some more research on the Eurocode DV...
Orange Bang I checked out your car on your myspace and not sure if I can fully believe it is actually yours, but I stand to be corrected. On the "My new car... Orange Bang" picture you have a euro plate and some type of badge on the right of the grill, have the 2.0T trim around the fog lights on the bumper, and silver trim around the grille. Now, in the next picture "My CaR & Its TWIN @ AUDI GTG in IRVINE 07" both cars have s-line badges on the left, the only one with the 2.0T fog light trim has black trim around the grille, but does not have a euro plate. Also on the first picture it looks like it is tan leather and the second one both cars have black.
Does this not match up?

yeah the car in the pic wif the euro plates is not mine... only the one in the GTG page and the one on my profile wich is the same car.... Yeah the one wif the euro plates was juss a pic i toook from the net...
