Hi
Has a very strange problem, last Saturday when I started the car, the warning light for the hood is open were lit. I went out, checked, but it was not, so I opened it and closed it to see if it helped. It did not.

If I open the hood the warning light is turned off, and when I close it the warning i turned on again.


Have run with it a bit since then and it is no problem but two things that do not work.

1st Wipers will not work when standing still.
2nd You can not spray washer fluid.


Is it a lock when the car think the hood is open? What could be the problem? Is this a common problem? Searched around but not found anything.

If it's not raining much my wipers will slow down, which I'm guessing there is a rain sensor somewhere, but I have not confirmed it.

The hood sensor is shorted somewhere. Better get it fixed as I have found these sort of gremlins can cause more problems.
