RE: whats your average mpg ?

Hey, while we're at it, how acurate is everyone's trip computer? I reset mine (comp 2, the one that doesn't auto reset) every time I fill up, and I also calculate it manually. The trip computer average MPG is pretty accurate for me, +/- <1 mpg every time.

Same for me and I get about 27 around town (Jacksonville/FL) and road trips are at best 32 mpg at about 75 mph. I was driving up north from Key West to Key Largo and was at a constant 50-55 mph, no stop and go, and I had something riculous like 45 mpg. The max speed in the Keys is 50mph I believe.

Just rolled over 10k, and I've only had the car since June! I get about 32 mpg on long distance interstate runs, even through the mountains.

18 to 22 or so in traffic with a good bit of stop and go.

My 3.2 has around 8600 miles and I've consistently gotten around 21.5mpg per tank with mixed driving.

I also didn't think the smoothness of the road would affect highway mileage as much, but since they resurfaced the section of interstate I take to work, my mpg on those particular trips increaded by 2-3 mpg.

I have a3 2.0T 2006, DSG, and with about 4660 miles on mine. I'm getting around 217miles with full tankin the city. I'm not very happy with that.

That is nuts!!! Are you gunning it from every stoplight[sm=gears.gif]? Even if you only get it down to where you have to put in 13 gallons, that is well under 17mpg....that's some [sm=smiley35.gif]

I kept track of all gas used for 10,000 miles, about 60% highway at SOFL's non rush hour, usual speed of 80+ mph. About 5000 mi. on the car when I started. I averaged 25.4 mpg.

RE: whats your average mpg ?

Not a very accurate way to figure you mpg. you say per tank, but you are most likely filling up well before empty. You can be adding more or less fuel than you think. It's best to keep track of your miles and amount fuel added for several tank fulls to get a good idea of your mileage. City mpg can be pretty poor with "normal" A3 driving enthusiasim. Much better if you can keep it smooth. [&:]

No, I'm not gunning it from every stoplight. I'm drivingnormal, first I thought it's something was wrong with car, 'cause I bought already with 2000 miles on car, I'm first owner but in dealership they used that car as a test model, or maybe 'cause I drive usually short distance.
