Why is my turbo sound so LOUD in the morning ?
My turbo sounds very LOUD
in the morning as soon as i put it in drive, and i take it very easy in 1500rpm -2000rpm range, after a few hundred feet, the loud spooling sound will slowly goes away. Does anyone has the same experience and know why that is ? Thanks.

Yes everything is stock. I replace the intake with k&n typhoon to get rid of the original audi cover which also house the air filter. The reason to do this is ease of access to filters and plugs. but the intake sort of become this noise amplifier from engine.
The intake tube is bolted down to 2 places. one is original place that used to have stud that hold the cover, the other is a bracket onto the engine.
Here's a link to the noise

Ahh thanks very good info! It's definitely the new air intake, not only that its getting more air, but the turbo is now much more exposed and the sound can bounce off the engine bay and outside instead of being muffled by the plastic stock air box. Definitely nothing to worry about, personally, when it comes to turbo sounds the louder the better if you ask me haha. But if it bothers you, Ebay or Amazon has padded titanium heat shields, not sure if they make them for the K03, cuz it doesn't generate enough heat to be a problem, but with a cover on the exhaust turbine it should cut the sound some. Just normal titanium heat wrap can do the same. But as far as mechanical problems go, you're in the clear.
