Will this 2016 1.8L engine work in my 2015 A3?
Shopping for a new engine for a 2015 A3 with the 1.8L. Online resources and for sale ads consistently reference my needing an engine with an engine ID of CNSB coming from a donor car with a VIN showing a 5th digit of C.
I've found a good engine locally that I'd like to buy. But it's from a 2016 A3 and while the engine ID is CNSB, the 5th digit of the donor car VIN is 7, not C.
Can anyone tell me if this engine will work for me and, if not, why not?
