Default $95 FOR WHAT?! A small code?! Help please!

I need some help here guys.

Ok the audi a4's battery died, I recharged it up again.

Because of this (i think), the radio thing got shut off. All it says now is: SAFE.

WTF? What am I supposed to do?

So I call the dealer, schedule an appointment, they say it going to cost $95 + tax. I don't have that kind of money!

Does anyone know if I could enter some kind of a code off the internet?

Thanks in advance!

Sorry, I forgot to mention:

to get the radio/audio player to turn on, you have to enter a code for it.

I don't know what it is.

I know mine went into safe mode and I had the manual though with the code in it. Apparently you are supposed to be able to find the code in your trunk someplace. Do a search for this topic and you should be able to find out where the code should be.

Yeah I just finished doing my research for now.

So far, I need to get a slotted din, then remove the radio, find the serial # and all that stuff. Then find a code finder program thing.

It's sad that some dealers want 90 and others want 30.

Did you buy it from a dealer? if you did, explain that they sold you a car sans radio code! And you'd like it -- for free -- or your gonna go buy a BMW!
