Depends on what engine you want, and this engine's pre-casualty wear for this to be worthwhile.</P>
If an earlier A4 pack is what you need, then $2500 is about the price of a younger functional 2.8l removed from a wreck (rear/side wreck) w/ about 80k km use. I don't have info about the parts. Thought I'd provide some feedback.</P>
Owners, family, anyone usually underestimates the damage of such a fatality. $2.5k for a mystery hulk of metal. Do you really want the labor? Broken belt is a catastophe that can suddenly halt 2krpm engine like the world just stopped. It is also an indication of the owners failing and misuse. The engine was probably ignored most of its life. I would avoid it.</P>
